people come and people go
sometimes without goodbye
sometimes without hello
people come and people go
sometimes without goodbye
sometimes without hello
hahaha, this is what people think I do when I tell them I’m vegetarian
Me too. And it’s funny cause I actually really hate salad.

Today was my last day of internship at the Dumond Conservancy
After a year and a half, it’s over. And I was so happy about it. But then it came time to leave and hug everyone goodbye and I’m gonna miss Aaron and Melissa and Christine and Liz and Zahara and everyone else and I got in the car and just started bawling.
I’ve learned so much working there. So much about animals (I should be considered a primate expert), so much about deforestation and the environment, so much about primate biology. It’s reinforced my career choice so much. After working there, I can’t imagine doing anything else with my life than taking care of and researching wildlife. I’ve learned leadership and responsibility, as I was one of the senior volunteers who would be second in command to the supervisor.
And then I was thinking about how I’m going to graduate high school in a week and a half and how everything is ending at once and I’m saying goodbye to everyone all at once, and then I cried some more because it finally all hit me.
For my economics project, I have to plan an entire vacation for a family of 4 with $4,000.
So far, it’s a road trip from San Francisco, to Yosemite Nat’l Park, to the Grand Canyon. With Airfare, rental car, and lodging, I have spent $2,588 on 10 nights.
Now for the fun stuff to plan.
I’m really enjoying this project :)
